In 1974 the Humane Society of Morrow County, an all volunteer non profit, had its humble beginning. Over the years many animals have been saved, given forever homes, started new journeys. There have been a lot of people that have come and gone in leadership positions over the years, the group has changed, grown, had twists and turns, ups and downs, you name it. But one theme has stayed true,assisting animals in need in Morrow County to the best of our ability. One thing the organization has never had is its own brick and mortar...a place to call home.
2016 is a year of new beginnings, both exciting and scary! We have signed a lease on a building in Mt. Gilead where we will offer community outreach, adoptables, educational opportunities for our community.
We appreciate anything anyone can donate from our wish list and we will also appreciate any helping hands to make the labor part of this happen. Thank you to everyone that has made this dream a reality so far!
