About Us
The Humane Society of Morrow County is a 501(c)(3) organization. We have been striving for the humane treatment of all animals – be it dogs, cats, horses or others – since 1974. That mission continues today. We opened the Animal Resource Center in 2016 where we have adoptable cats and kittens. Also, we do have many animals in foster homes that are available for adoption and longing for a forever home. We do not euthanize animals within our foster program, so once a pet is processed into our foster program they remain with us until the perfect match is found. We could not do what we do for these animals if it weren’t for our volunteers, board members and humane agent. The time and effort that they give to all animals in need is truly inspiring, and we and our four-footed friends are eternally grateful. If you are interested in helping us care for and rescue pets in the Morrow County area, showing them the love and affection they deserve, please contact us today. Tax returns for HSofMC are available for review in person at the Animal Resource Center, upon request. Board meetings are held @ The Animal Resource Center on third Monday of the month starting at 6 pm. Due to unforeseen circumstances, meetings may be rescheduled or held by virtual media only. |
Our mission is to promote animal welfare, relieve animal suffering and educate the public on animal care.

Humane Agent
We currently have one non-paid voluntary humane agent to serve the needs of animals in Morrow County. In addition to overseeing humane cases, a humane agent my also handle phone calls from the public on lost/found pets. The humane agent has the difficult task of investigating all reports of abuse, neglect or abandonment. Often, the situations he/she finds animals in are heartbreaking, and prove that we all need to work together to ensure dogs, cats, horses and others receive the kind of humane, loving treatment they deserve. This is one of the things we strive for at the Humane Society of Morrow County, and we’re grateful to all of our volunteers for the work they do to help us carry it out.
