History of the Humane Society of Morrow County

The first and original humane society of Morrow County was founded in 1974. And operated for many years serving the animals of Morrow County. In 1987, it was reformed as the Morrow County Humane Society by Ed and Carol Amick, Donna Bremigan and Debbie Westbrook. And once again, it was reformed in 2000 as the Humane Society of Morrow County. Since it's inception in 1974, the Humane Society of Morrow County mission has been the humane treatment of all animals. And that mission, as it has been through the years, continues to be our mission. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we have continued to grow and have added to our resources to fulfill that mission.

We believe that all animals deserve humane treatment. We believe that every time we save an animal from abuse, cruelty, torment, torture, neglect, starvation or other forms of inhumane treatment, we have succeeded in helping to make the world a better place for the animals and people.

You can help the animals by becoming a member or a guardian angel or by making a donation or by being a volunteer!

All the animals thank you....and so do we!
