Foster an Animal
The Great Puppy Rescue program in 2009 was about making the best of an unexpected blessing. According to the Humane Society of the United States, there are six to 10 pups in the average litter. And a fertile female dog can average two litters of pups a year. Sometimes the best things in life aren’t always planned – so we recognize that the little furry ones sometime need a special place to go while they wait to find their forever home. And it’s not just about the puppies – Humane Society of Morrow County looks after all kinds of animals and their mothers.
Foster care is a unique and rewarding option. The HSofMC ensures the health and well-being of the animal is taken care of so that you can focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment. The animals’ vaccines and food are provided; and we are also there for you whenever you have questions or a concern.
Many of the public animal shelters don’t have the staff or the funding to provide the kind of care for mothers and their litter. This is definitely a special kind program, and it is another way to be an advocate for animal welfare in Morrow County.
